It’s time for a mega Disney update! Wooo! Ok I know that the trip that Ohyo, Dan, myself, and Sugar took last Tuesday is somewhat old news but I can’t help commenting on it anyway. If you’ve already heard the story you don’t have to read about it again that is your prerogative but be warned I withhold my right to call you a snob.

We start this story off where Dan’s Whale Tale left off. After leaving the beach we took lodging in Dan’s “Aunt’s” house. The following morning we scooted off to Disney’s Hollywood Studios for a day of fun. At the gate we met up with Dan’s second cousin or some such relation who gave us free entrance into the park. We were only allowed in after we gave Disney our thumbprints and signatures so I fully expect we are on some sort of watch-list now. Never underestimate the power of company that got its start drawing mouse pictures.

Dan’s second cousin just happens to be the crazy mean German dude in the Indiana Jones™ Epic Stunt Spectacular! so he also hooked us up with VIP seats to his show. Ohyo waltzed off to tell Disney that he was ‘celebrating’ his birthday and so naturally when they asked for audience member extras during the Indy show Ohyo was front and center in VIP seats with a Birthday Button more than willing to participate.

After the very cool Indy show we proceeded to go on a quite mild Star Wars ride that made both Ohyo and Sugar a bit woozy. It wasn’t much more than a flight simulator but I guess the big screen showing 1980s style graphics was a bit too much for them. From there we enjoyed the super cool Lights, Motors, Action!™ show in which a bunch of drivers drove a bunch of cars in a bunch of cool ways. They were also very tricksey I might add.

We waited on eating until after we enjoyed the ride formally known as the Tower of Terror. This particular ride was milder than Ohyo or Dan remembered it but thoroughly enjoyed by me for the first time. Sugar was, however, not a fan. Our food was followed up by a pathetic Narnia exhibit that wouldn’t be worth mentioning except that it really was that terrible. Relaxing seats in the American Idol Experience were enjoyed by all, the strobe lights, screaming fans, and music were not however.

The trip ended with a quest to find the perfect souvenir, which we ultimately decided would be a plush Mikey dressed differently, one for each of us. The person who guesses who picked each Mickey gets ten points and a gold star.
