"So this is how liberty dies…with thunderous applause" - Padme (EP III)

Sadly the RNC did not pick McCain, republican and even independent primary voters did. I don't know that I'd call him war-mongering either, but that's another debate for another time.

That being said the GOP has definitely been shifting to center-left ever since Reagan left office. Whether or not Romney or Paul could have won is a moot point now, although I do doubt if Ron Paul would have been perceived as sane enough to be elected. He has the right direction in mind he just wants to jump off a cliff to get there and that's not usually the best path. Romney on the other hand could have cleaned house with Obama on the economy, but whether Christians could have gotten over his Mormonism is another issue altogether. I mean heck a surprisingly large group of Christians flocked to Obama because Sarah Palin is a woman.

We'll see what happens now, but it can't be good.

Welcome to the new socialist republik of amerika komrade!

For 70 years, the Russians and Chinese have been trying to convert us... we finally accept their philosophies on our own free will! Yay!

Perhaps the RNC will realize that they are shooting themselves in the foot when they pick a war-mongering, liberal republican to be their nominee. Somewhere along the line our GOP buddies decided that we need to be more middle to appeal to both sides, but in reality, this 'lukewarm' approach causes Average Joe to spit the candidate out.

Romney or Paul. Either could have easily defeated Barack Hussein Obama.

Heil Motherland!

Couldn't have said it better myself... It'll really enforce the need to trust in God though.
