How about just speaking the plain old truth - unmarred and untampered by any particular worldview?

Haha, glad you finally caught on that it was a fish… xD But your reaction was what I was aiming for. I wanted to reveal ‘clues’ as to the deceased being a fish, but only gradually so that it would be clear by the end after starting off fuzzy.
