No that’s not what I’m referring to - but that’s interesting in and of itself. I’m actually talking about his less than Christian actions on the campaign trail while somehow suggesting that the one true reason why you should vote for him is that he is a Christian. At least based on his policy ideas that’s the only idea I can surmise why someone who espouses to be conservative would vote for him. Okay maybe the flat tax thing, but other than that he’s got nothing to his record.

Ooo listen to me I’m letting my zomgee political post of the future get away from me. I’ll save the rest for later methinks.

Do you mean the allegations of legal-yet-shady contributions? From what I heard, he was being strung up for getting free eats at a diner or something of the sort.

Good thoughts… Though I’d hope that the person in “The Christian” chair would indeed lead the country in Godly ways like all countries ought. Sadly though it seems like most ‘Christians’ nowadays are merely hypocrites.

Yep. That’s how it goes. Unfortunately, the more humble portion of the populus will never aspire to become president. Its a bit of a catch 22.
And for the record, I can be idealistic if I want to be- it’s working for Ron Paul, right?

The problem is that none of those candidates falls into the category you’ve described.

As I read your post though it made me think about how its just a simple form of materialism and humanism. We strive to get better and more of everything and we become our own gods. Its a sad state of affairs, although quite frankly its been going on for a long time.
